LIONS CLUB (SUTLEJ), LUDHIANA HOLDS FREE EYE CAMP IN VIVEKANAND GURUKUL
Honoury Lions Club (Sutlej) Members:-
Lion Keshav Garg, Lion R.K.Gupta (President), Lion Shashi Bhushan Jindal, Lion Dinesh Kumar Agarwal, PP Lion Pradeep Maheshwari, MJF Lion Yogesh Bansal, Lion Sandeep Aggarwal, Lion C.S.Arora, Lion Kuljeet S. Sethi, Lion Arvind Rai Aggarwal, Lion Shashi Bhushan Jindal whose contribution in kinds and deeds helped to successfully organize free eye camp for poor people of sweepers, migrant labourers of Haibowal locality. More than 200 patients were given free eye checkup and free eye medicines were given. Out of these, 23 cataract patients who were blind were selected and operated upon in Civil Hospital, Ludhiana by reknowned eye surgeon, Dr. S.S. Kakkar of Civil Hospital, Raikot. Also, coloured PHACO lens from USA were provided to these patients. All operational and medicinal costs were borne by Honory members of Lions Club (Sutlej). Their kind effort and gesture to the poor people helped those who were handicapped and unable to do anything became valuable members of society and will help them to perform their daily chores for the rest of their lives
